Back by popular demand, four different courses to choose from, ideal for a taster-week of KCAT, an artistic treat for yourself or a week to specialise in a certain media or material!
All the courses are open to anyone over 16 years old and to all abilities.
– Watercolour painting
Focussing on wet in wet techniques, suitable for all levels.
Teacher: Barbara Wheeler-Connolly
– Drawing
Exploring nature through different drawing techniques, media and materials resulting in a self made book of nature studies of your drawings. Teacher: Jean Conroy
– Printmaking
Design and print your own wood/lino and dry point print.
(All techniques are non- toxic.)
Teacher: Noortje van Deursen
– Theatre
Explore the subtle art of play in a safe, friendly environment. Learn about your voice and body in space through play. Over the course of this week-long summer school you will gain experience in:
– Improvisation
Learning about spontaneous action and re-action to offers from fellow actors
– Devising
Learning to work collaboratively towards making theatre
– Movement & Physical theatre
Learning to use your whole body as a voice and a tool in acting
– Basic Stagecraft
Stage directions, entrances and exits, stage presence etc.
– Relaxation
An ideal opportunity to get a taste of the KCAT theatre course.
