Echoes of Earth and Ocean exhibits a collection of art works by Philippa Bollard that weaves together different experimental approaches in abstract figurativism. Her works are inspired by Irish hill climbing, hikes around Icelandic bogs, and sunny holidays in South America. Philippa is a member of KCAT Art Centre’s Open Studio.

Philippa Bollard
I have always had an interest in the visual arts, I just never had the time to do anything about it. Since I retired from work, and joined KCAT, I have had the opportunity to try my hand at sculpture, printmaking, painting, and drawing. KCAT is an extremely creative space. Inspiration comes from tutors, facilitators, and fellow artists alike. I love to experiment with all kinds of different media and techniques. I enjoy painting with “anything but the brush”. I am loving every minute of my time in KCAT and am very grateful for the opportunity it offers.
