KCAT Courses are for Everybody
KCAT courses are for everybody. They are thoughtfully designed in such a way that they are accessible to people of all races, genders, abilities and ages. The framework of KCAT’s programming is reflective of our artist led and community based ethos. We have a wide selection of learning opportunities available so that everyone can be involved in the arts. These come in the form of year long courses, term long courses, masterclass weekends, shorter evening courses and Open Studio settings. KCAT provides several accredited courses for those who would like to achieve a QQI qualification as well as courses which are for those who would prefer to work at their own pace for personal creative development. KCAT courses aim to provide a transformative learning experience for students where self-knowledge is deepened and enhanced.
All our facilitators and professional collaborators are artists who have a demonstrable track record of excellence in their field and a genuine excitement and dedication to working inclusively. We have a core panel of tutors, many of whom have been with KCAT from its inception. We also constantly recruit new tutors who are incredibly generous in sharing their expertise and practice with others to ensure learning is contemporary and current. (See our tutor page to meet the professionals who make up our panel.)
The suitability of courses can be discussed with our Education Coordinator who has experience in understanding the learning needs of artists and creatives. If you would like to know more or discuss options please give her a call on 0567706863 or alice@kcat.ie, or fill in our Online Application Form
Please note: courses will be run subject to a minimum number of enrolments.
