Gary Comerford

Gary is an actor and theatre-artist. He has been performing with Equinox Theatre since 2013.

Currently in pre-production for the film adaptation of the smash hit The Water Boys (National Tour, 2019,) continuing his collaboration with Director Shane O’Reilly, and Equinox colleague and friend, Jim Rohan. Due to premiere in December 2022.

Recent work with Equinox includes POWER: We All Come From Somewhere (Theatre - premiered Prague, Jan 2020. Digital film – International release November 2021); The M House The M House (National Tour 2017 & Dublin Theatre Festival, and Bounce! Festival, Belfast 2018); Memory Box (National Tour 2015).

Other performance work includes Big Chapel X (Asylum Productions, Kilkenny Arts Festival, Abbey Theatre 2019); The Bridge Street Project (Asylum Productions, Callan Workhouse Union, Trasna Productions 2015).

Luka Grcevic

Luka is a multidisciplinary artist. He has been a member of Equinox since 2020 after completing an acting course at KCAT. More recent work has been on FeelR 2021, 'What if dancing was a superpower?' A nine-minute dance film by Luka Grcevic and Susie Lamb presented by KCAT Arts Centre, with a focus on movement and sound. Recent work with Equinox includes Different Every Night (Theatre in Progress performed at The Watergate, Kilkenny in 2022); and a performance at Assembly Symposium (in collaboration with Project Arts Centre, Dublin in 2023). Other performance work includes an interactive solo tour around Europe supported by his father, Danijel, and a group of musicians in 2023/2024. He is currently working on integrative vocal and movement techniques to expand his practice both individually and within the ensemble.

Mairéad Maguire

Mairead is an actor and theatre artist. She has been a member of Equinox since 2014.

Shane M. Byrne

Shane Michael Byrne is an actor, theatre artist and proud Carlow man. He is a founder member of KCAT Art Centre’s Equinox Theatre Company.

Currently Artist in Residence at VISUAL Centre for Contemporary Art, Carlow, developing a new play in collaboration with Cian Kinsella (Lords of Strut, Body Brothers). This play has been commissioned by VISUAL.
