Over the last years KCAT has been involved in many local, national and international collaborations. Here are a few

KCAT Station 2013

KCAT was delighted to be hosting their own event as part of The Gathering, inviting artists from studios around the world to join them in a creative workshop. The artists came together and participated in sessions allowing them to play their part in the creation of a large scale work.

Abhainn Rí Training 2012

KCAT Tutor Jean Conroy and Pete Casby of MACNAS were engaged in a training project which aims to develop key skills in designing, building and presenting adventurous projects for communities. Supported by KLP


Skibbereen Arts Festival Exhibition and Screenings, 2012
Lorna Corrigan and Andrew Pike attended the launch of a large exhibition of KCAT Studio artists work during the festival, and attended a screening of the Wildfire produced KCAT documentary ‘Living Colour’ along with a Q&A and showing of Andrew’s short animation ‘Going to war in a banana truck’. Both recieved huge applause from the warm audience on an otherwise cold wet night.


KCAT Studio artists attend and show work at the Art Brut biennale 2012
KCAT Studio artists Mary Cody and Jason Turner and two studio facilitators attended the Art Brut biennale in Hengelo, Holland earlier this year. There they engaged with other artists and took part in workshops and seminars, and viewed the large exhibition spaces. Click here for more information on the Art Brut Biennale 2012


KCAT Studio Artists attend 2×2 Outsider Art Forum, 2011
In Autumn, Francis Casey and Andrew Pike, along with studio facilitators attended and presented work at the 2×2 Outsider Art Forum in Munster, Germany. They took part in discussions, gave talks about KCAT and their work and were able to network with other artist and studio groups.

Equinox Theatre and Croí Glan at the Junction Festival 2011
A sublime, beautifully performed collaboration between the two theatre companies.

Outreach at Belvue School, London 2011
Continuing the partnership with the London based school, tutor Jean Conroy returned with artist Peter Foskin and KCAT studio artist Jack Foskin to create a full size willow bear.

KCAT Students show at Bloom, Dublin 2011
Led by tutor Jean Conroy, students on the FETAC Level 5 full-time course presented beautiful willow sculptures for the Crafts Council Garden at Bloom.

TRASNA International Festival of Inclusive Theatre 2007

The Big River Parade 2006
Designed by KCAT studio artists Sinead Fahey and Andrew Pike, and realised by Macnas, the Big River Parade flowed through the streets of Galway, Callan and Kilkenny.
