As Irish culture rapidly shifts and changes how does this affect our internal landscape? “Islands” is a site-specific touring dance piece incorporating community members at each performance location. Inspired by the writings of John Donohue, this work explores how our environment influences our cultural attitudes, thoughts and feelings and reflects on our essential human relationship with the places we are from.

Dancers: Mary Nugent, Dawn Mulloy, Tara Brandel, Jim Rohan, Sighile Hennessy and James O’Shea

The Lost Prince (2011)

The Lost Prince - Equinox Theatre Company

The Lost Prince beautifully and touchingly interweaves the narratives of storytelling, fairytales and acts of reading in a drama that mixes animation and multimedia with good old-fashioned on-the-knuckle acting to ultimately distil a gentle lesson about the importance of not forgetting to love what is in front of our eyes and under our nose.

Footballhead (2009)

A full-scale production which told the story of the inhabitants of one small town; their lives and their personal sense of worth. For the creation of this production the company worked in collaboration with Improvisation artist / clown Marcus Bale and writer / film-maker Andrew McEneff over a period of nine months and combined live theatre and film.
